The world’s first non-combustible fiber composite material from pultrusion production

RAILROAD INFRASTRUCTURE

With fi:resist, we offer an innovative glass fiber composite material that is ideal for safety-relevant applications such as platforms, railings and handrails. With A1 certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13501, the material offers impressive fire resistance and is particularly suitable for use in tunnels and railroad infrastructures. As the world’s first non-combustible fiber composite material from pultrusion production, fi:resist sets new standards.

As pioneers in material development, we are proud to offer fi:resist, the world’s first non-combustible fiber composite material from pultrusion production. This unique material is characterized by its lightness, stability and high mechanical strength. It is also resistant to heat, corrosion and UV light, electrically non-conductive and permeable to radio signals

At fisco, we rely on the power of modularity. Our innovative system solutions are designed to adapt flexibly to any location and enable efficient pre-assembly.

What makes fi:resist specific?

fi:resist® is non-flammable, heat-resistant, mechanically highly resilient, corrosion-resistant, UV-stable, electrically non-conductive and permeable to radio signals. Due to its low thermal conductivity, fi:resist® produces a good thermal insulation effect. It is odorless and contains no hazardous substances. Thanks to the pultrusion process (extrusion), profiles made of fi:resist® composite material can be produced cost-effectively in large quantities with consistently high quality.

PROFILE CONSTRUCTION KIT

We develop the optimum solution for you, from the initial idea to production and on-site support.

Profile construction kit

The modular design allows a high degree of flexibility when adapting to different locations and requirements. Entry and exit platforms can be assembled from different profiles and elements in order to respond optimally to the respective construction situation and your requirements. This allows a tailor-made solution for almost any structural situation, whether in tunnels, on platforms or in other projects

Adapted to your circumstances:

At fisco, we offer you modular system solutions that can be perfectly adapted to your individual requirements. Our access and exit platforms made from flexible profiles and elements adapt to any building situation and meet your specific project requirements.

Efficiency through pre-assembly

Depending on your local and time requirements, we enable you to pre-assemble the components. This speeds up your construction progress considerably. Our uncomplicated screw connections between the profiles and elements also guarantee quick and easy assembly on site.

Ship construction

fi:resist offers significant advantages in shipbuilding: It guarantees increased fire protection, is significantly lighter than steel, which reduces fuel consumption, and ensures radio wave transparency and radar systems thanks to its radio wave transparency. It is also corrosion-resistant, which reduces maintenance costs and increases durability.

Increased fire protection: As fires on ships are associated with particular dangers, the fire-resistant fi:resist represents a significant safety factor. It reduces the risk of fire spreading and complies with strict maritime fire safety regulations

Weight saving: Compared to traditional materials such as steel, fi:resist is significantly lighter, resulting in a lower overall weight of the ship. This reduces fuel consumption and increases efficiency.

Radio wave transparency: Especially for modern ships that rely on wireless communication and radar, fi:resist does not interfere with the transmission of radio signals as it does not cause electromagnetic shielding.

Corrosion resistance: In the maritime environment, fi:resist is extremely resistant to salt water and moisture. This increases the service life of components and reduces maintenance costs.

Radio & electrical engineering

fi:resist offers maximum radio wave permeability combined with high fire safety. Ideal for infrastructures that require both wireless communication and strict fire protection, it remains stable and durable even under extreme conditions.

Unlike conventional GRP composites, fi:resist is non-flammable. This makes it ideal for use in environments where strict fire protection requirements and unhindered radio communication are of crucial importance. The following examples can be mentioned in this regard:

Airports and train stations are examples of places where large crowds rely on wireless communication and high fire safety standards apply.

Likewise, fi:resist is suitable for use in tunnels and subway shafts, where a reliable wireless connection must be guaranteed while minimizing the risk of fire spreading.

Thanks to the combination of fire resistance and electromagnetic permeability, fi:resist is ideal for safety-critical infrastructures that need to meet both fire protection and communication requirements.
